Fan Palm Trees Pictures
Mexican palmetto in zone 8?
I bought a huge Mexican fan palm trees and various citrus fruits. I would like to know if I can grow in Zone 8. Ok, the thingy says I live 7b, area, but the picture tells me that I live in 8a! I think the picture because I do not to read .. The photo shows the line of 50 miles, and I'm like what the hell! I'm fine with putting on my new greenhouse:) but it is compressed: (Oh I bought a greenhouse and I want to know the chances of breaking also for some reason all my tangelos fell from my tree!. can someone tell me why? When I bought the tree, he had several businesses ruit quarter on them. One last thing. I have an apple tree with 12 apples in it. I want to Lowe'sand Flopsy was a bit, but now it looks like a weeping willow. Help! It is all still in the container I bought apples are on a branch
More tender plants can survive in climates down if they are planted in the warmer micro-climate that you have and potentially some protection in the colder weather in winter. I plant outside my area too, and have had many years of great growth. All Plants can suffer from stress when they are transplanted, or their environment is changed, and yours were shipped by producers through Lowes etc, and your home. Keep points from now to a minimum, a good watering, providing a little shade if the weather is extreme, and taking care of them. Insects and other pests are often opportunistic, moving on to stressed plants, so watch for these too. Fruit drop, often with leaf fall, which happens to plants and trees in extreme situations or stress, and they should recover, if you can moderate constraints.
